Rage 4th has laid the corner-stone in creating a Championship Team for the future and has proven this with 3 National Championships in 4 years.
The name Rage 4th was founded by a small fingered young boy of extraordinary exuberance. After growing up in the circus and being raised by a group of gypsy's, he made an astonishing discovery. While in the hospital with another of his cult, he coined the expression Rage 4th. It is the foundation for all things his gypsy roots and ridiculously miniature fingers have touched. And he touches us all with words and yes, his little fingers. Amen, Travis Headen! Rage 4th to you!
Founded in 2005 as a collaborated effort between Jeff Mello and Jason Scherer, Rage4th has become the premier rock sports team in the country. With diverse backgrounds and racing experience this partnership has fueled vehicle development, team support strategies and driver development. Additionally important is the resources this merger has created from team members to shop space and tool and ultimately sponsorship which allows continued success. | Jason Scherer has placed in the top 3 consistently, winning the Pro-Rock Championship in 2006 and repeating in 2007 and winning the 2009 King of the Hammers and finishing 3rd in the 2011 KOH. Jason’s growing list of high profile finishes have placed him as one of the best rock-crawlers of all time including being a two time nominee for Dirt Sports “Driver of the Year” award. In addition, Jason was named as a BFGoodrich ambassador of the sport for 2007 through 2011, an honor reserved for those who embody the image and determination to be the best. | Jeff Mello has been a competitor in off road racing of some sort since BMX racing at age 10 and since his first race on 4 wheels Jeff has earned nearly 100 feature career wins off road in Jeeps designed, fabricated and maintained primarily in his home racing shop. With wins in several styles of off road racing including the Baja 1000 and Pro Stadium Races Jeff’s versatility as a driver has led him to 8 championship titles and 17 overall wins in rock sports alone including the ’09 CalRocs Modified Stock class defending Champion.
